Lathem:  The time on my PC100 terminal jumped ahead one hour.  What happened and what do I need to do?

Symptom
The time on the PC100 terminal advanced one (1) hour at 2:00 a.m. on the wrong date.

Explanation of Issue
The PC100 terminal receives the correct Daylight Savings date adjustments for the current year on each occurrence of the time being set via the software. If the time has not been set on the terminal since January 1, the PC100 retains the old Daylight Savings dates.

Resolution
To correct the issue, you must simply set the PC100’s current date and time from the PayClock software.
1. Open the PayClock software.
2. Click on the System icon in the Setup section of left navigation bar.
3. Click on the Terminal tab.
4. Verify the Time and Date settings shown are correct. If not, they must be changed in the Windows Control Panel before preceding.
5. Click the “Clock Send Time/Date” button.

The correct Daylight Savings Dates have now been sent to the PC100 terminal for the remainder of 2002, and both the Spring and Fall time adjustments will occur properly.

This issue is corrected in recent versions of the PayClock EZ software. If you are currently an Annual Support Agreement holder, the new version on CD was sent to you at no charge at the time of release. If you do not have an Annual Support Agreement, you must either:
1. Upgrade to the latest version of the software prior to April of 2003.
2. Set the time and date on your PC100 terminal using the instructions provided above after January 1 and prior to April of each new year.
