Atlanta, GA (October 1, 2001) - Lathem Time Corporation continues to evolve with their customers’ need to improve efficiency. Lathem has enhanced its popular PC3500 Badge Terminal to utilize standard Ethernet connections, allowing electronic communication via existing TCP/IP networks within a facility.
"Enhancing our products to advance with our customers' daily demands is a top priority at Lathem. We listen to our customers' feedback and adjust products to provide the most comprehensive solution for their needs," said Lance Whipple, Lathem's Director of Marketing.
Not only does the installation of the PC3500TX model require no rewiring, transaction data can be transmitted to the host application in real-time, providing up-to-the-minute information for analysis and processing. The real-time nature of the terminal ensures that information sent back to the employee, such as worked hours and messages, are timely and accurate.
As a communication tool, the terminal allows employees to view their worked hours for the pay period, review their last series of attendance punches, and view messages sent from a supervisor. Managers on the floor even have the ability to view an employee's punches and make corrections or additions right at the terminal, reducing the burden placed on the payroll supervisor.
Whipple states, "We are pleased to offer products that streamline our customers' operations and lines of communication."
