reducing the need to issue new cards. When using PolyGuard with custom
holographic images, you get the most secure, durable cards available.
Used alone or
connected to multiple stations via the printer’s optional networking
capabilities, the Pro-LX is ideal for continuous-print applications. Among

encoding errors, automatically separate a faulty card into the Reject Card

can print and laminate a full color card in less than 40 seconds. Plus,
when batch printing, the Pro-LX prints one card while simultaneously
laminating another — allowing it to produce up to 120 single-sided,
laminated cards per hour.
SmartGuard™ is the “key” to
stopping counterfeit cards.
Stop unauthorized use of your card printing system with SmartGuard. This
printer security feature controls access to your Pro-LX by allowing only
authorized persons with a custom access card, or “key,” to print
cards.
SmartShield™ provides added security at an
affordable cost.
FARGO’s patented SmartShield card security capability is built into the
Pro-LX, and into your cards. SmartShield allows you to print custom transparent
images onto cards without the need for custom holographic PolyGuard. The
transparent SmartShield image is visible only when viewed at an angle or under
an ultra-violet light source. You get additional, customized security in an
affordable, tamper-resistant card.
Encoding makes cards more functional.
