PCPunch Details

PCPunch™ is a virtual time clock on your computer. PCPunch™ can load employee and labor level information from either TimeKeeper Central (TKC) database output files (user-files) or TKC poster files. The user can configure other options such as labor level descriptions and activity codes. Once configured, an employee needs only to enter the proper identification number (either employee number or badge number) and specific information (labor levels and activity codes) to punch. Once the user makes a punch, it can be sent to TKC.

Configuration:

  • Data can be imported either as a user file or a TKC poster file. This data includes:
    • Employee names.
    • Employee numbers.
    • Badge numbers.
    • Home accounts.
    • Labor level values.
    • Labor level reference text.

Data Tracked:

  • All punches are saved to a Microsoft Access database. The following information is saved:
    • Badge number.
    • Punch date and time.
    • All labor levels entered.
    • Activity code.
  • Punches that have been sent to TKC can be saved, or deleted to control the size of the database.

Log File:

  • A log file can be used that will keep track of all punches made on each machine.
  • The log file can have any number of entries.
  • The log file can only be viewed if it is configured to be in PCPunchLoader.

Export Data::

  • Creates a data file containing punch information that can be imported into TKC.
  • Can export all punches collected since user-specified date or only punches that have not been previously exported.
  • Can schedule the export of punches and import into TKC to occur automatically at user-specified time intervals.

System Requirements:

  • Window 95, 98 or NT
