HandComm from Ban-Koe Companies integrates the HandPunch terminals from RSI with the Kronos Frontline Labor Management Solutions.  The product is designed to collect punches from the HandPunch terminals, validate labor levels, and restrict punches.  HandComm can be configured to automatically send the user an e-mail should any errors occur while communicating with the HandPunch terminals.  The Enrollment software will distribute hand templates to all selected terminals for ease in hand template management.  HandComm is designed to work with either Kronos Timekeeper Central or Workforce Central suite of applications.

Configuration:

  • Imported Kronos data includes:

    • Employee names.

    • Employee numbers.

    • Badge numbers.

    • Home accounts.

    • Labor level values.

    • Labor level reference text.

  • User configurable function keys and validation used when performing labor level transfers.

  • User configurable punch restrictions.

  • User definable terminal groups for hand template management.

  • User definable security profiles allows supervisors access only to assigned terminals and employees.

  • Direct enrollment via software.

Data Tracked:

  • The following punch information is saved to a database:

    • Badge number.

    • Punch date and time.

    • All labor levels entered.

  • Punches that have been sent to Kronos can be saved or deleted to control the size of the database.

  • Adaptive Template Management allows system to adapt to slow-evolving hand geometry as employee ages or changes weight.

 Export Data:

  • Creates a data file containing punch information that can be imported into Kronos.

  • Options to export all punches collected since a user-specified date, or only those punches that have not been previously exported.

  • Ability to schedule the automatic export of punches from HandComm, and import into Kronos at user-specified time intervals.

  • ID3D HandKey and older models

Kronos Systems Supported:

  • TKC – Versions 2, 3, 4

  • WFC 3.1 –Oracle, SQL Server, Informix

  • AS/400 Version 8.1, 9 (via Client Access)

System Requirements:

  • Windows 95, 98, or NT

  • WFC Installs will require ODBC drivers (We recommend Microsoft or Oracle ODBC database drivers).

  • AS/400 requires HandComm's AS/400 module and IBM's Client Access
