Nothing is copied to the system directory. However, ODBC drivers are required. They may be downloaded from Microsoft at www.microsoft.com\data. * Easy to Use Most entry fields are optional, therefore, minimal data entry is required. However, there are fifteen data fields and four user-defined fields to allow for a robust project description. * Easy access to all projects. Simply select a project and all related information is readily available on six conveniently grouped tabbed pages. * Filter displayed projects. Select filtering criteria to create a custom view of the projects. Filters include: date, employee, customer, project status, and type. (Example: All projects started within the past 30 days). * Track multiple customers and employees per project. * Attach documents (or any files) to the project. View the attached files by double-clicking the name. This will open the file with its associated program. * Project may be divided into tasks for better tracking & estimating. You can create custom tasks for each project to help organize hours more effectively. * Proof of Estimate. By creating tasks for a project and estimating the time it should take for each task, you can prove if your estimate was correct by comparing the estimated hours vs. the actual hours for each task and for the entire project. This will help create better estimates in the future. * Two memos provide ample space for notes and project history. * Useful Reports. Included is an employee hours report, a project information report, a project breakdown report, a chronological hours in project report, and a list of projects using the filtering criteria. * Includes the time entry program - Project Clock. Project Clock is a small program (displayed in the system tray) to allow quick and easy time entry into the projects. It allows for either start-stop times or a duration value. Access to the Project Vault program is not required.
