Do you need different levels of access or security for different locations throughout your facility?
3. Do you have multiple locations?
Will all locations be part of this badging process? Is each location responsible for badging its own location?
4. What information is required on the card?
Organizations require different information. Determine what information is essential to your business. Is a photo required, or is any type of technology needed for access or time and attendance, or visitor access?
5. Is lamination necessary?
No, not always necessary. However, if cards are swiped several times a day a laminated card is the best way to protect the card. Lamination will add longevity to the life of the card.
6. How do I choose one technology over another?
Bar Code, Magnetic Stripe, Proximity are available. Simple identification may only require a simple ID. Cards that need to integrate into an access or time attendance system may require magnetic stripe, proximity, or another technology. Cards can incorporate multiple technologies if necessary.
